Very kind and professional, reasonable prices & low pressure-they did everything they said they would do & made a stressful time MUCH easier for my siblings and me upon the passing of our mother. We had a lovely, small memorial service at their convenient NW Hills location, a beautiful family burial gathering at lovely Eloise Woods, & they explained every cost & gave me options. If I could give 10 stars, I would. They are locally owned, and treat each customer like they are the only one. Mitzi and her team took an otherwise crushing loss in our family, and turned it into a beautiful and thoughtful ceremony. Austin Natural Funerals was so patient with all my questions, and were so genuinely kind. Their business practices are outstanding as well; they are knowledgeable, clear, and organized with their approach. On the worst days of grief, this honest and caring business owner will provide a bright light amidst it all.

Over the years, I have had to deal with funeral homes on a number of occasions. By and large, I have found their operators to be exploitative, driven by greed and a desire to sell as many goods and services as possible to vulnerable purchasers who are challenged to make wise decisions in their grief. The frequent result: Major outlays of money by family members who can ill afford them. Austin Natural Funerals has been a great exception. The owner and staff there were straight up, desirous of truly helping. Not once was there any effort to push expenditure for something unnecessary and/or outside the budget under the guise of doing right by our deceased loved one. We were treated with respect, compassion, and dignity. If I could give Austin Natural Funerals 10 stars, I would.

Campbell was so incredibly kind to assist my fiancé and I in purchasing our services ahead of time. We are preparing our prenup and other legal documents so it can be overwhelming when you don't know what you should consider for funeral services, especially as a young couple. She answered all of our questions and helped guide us through the contract to make sure we had all of the information we needed. I cannot express how grateful we are to Austin Natural Funerals. From the moment of the first phone call, to my many emails asking for clarification, Campbell was kind and caring and professional. They treated our family as though they had known us for years, caring for us all and helping us find peace in this. From start to finish, they went above and beyond in so many ways, making a sad situation so much easier. They were very knowledgeable about the specific things we would need and provided a lot of guidance and details, so we knew what to expect. There was absolutely no upselling or pressure to buy extra services, and I felt very much like I was dealing with people who cared about our situation. Campbell was calming and comforting when we had to call her in the middle of the night for transport, which she did seamlessly. She quickly set up the online tribute page, something that allowed us to notify people with all the information in a central (and lovely) format. They arranged for live-streaming -- so many out of town loved ones commented on how easy it was for them to use and how nice it was to be able to see the service. Campbell made beautiful programs and had everything we needed on hand the day of the service (e.g., tent, chairs, water, fans, etc.) . At the service itself, Campbell and Mitzi made sure everything ran smoothly. They helped us know what the steps we needed to take and made sure there was nothing that could add to the stress of the situation. Two days later, Campbell drove to bring me some extra programs and did research to find information about a specific headstone artist. Finding companies that care and offer customer service is hard in the best of times. It takes special people to offer this kind of comfort, care, and customer service in the worst of times.

My father, Joseph C. Sultanik, recently passed away unexpectedly at the age of 90. Through connections with his synagogue my family was able to meet the owner of Austin Natural Funerals, Mitzi Chafetz, who was fantastic. She also got us in touch with another member of the company, Campbell Ringel. Mitzi and Campbell were outstanding and helped us take care of my father in the most compassionate way possible. Everything about Austin Natural Funerals’ services from their technology to their very personable staff to the actual funeral and burial of my father was excellent. They coordinated with our Rabbi, provided online streaming, and truly comforted us. I will always have a heartfelt appreciation for what they did for my father and family. I was really fortunate to find Austin Natural Funerals. I was from Denver, in Austin after my brother died suddenly. The Funeral Director, Campbell Ringel, went out of her way to be helpful and communicative during this difficult time. When I called with questions, Campbell was available to take my calls. Austin Natural Funerals provided a very nice, pleasant and clean space for my family's memorial service for my brother. I highly recommend Austin Natural Funerals as an above average and professional mortuary.

The folks at All Natural Funeral's were so wonderful in helping us with my father in law's arrangements. My husband met with Mitzi (Huge Thank You) to get everything in order before he passed. Mitzi was there through the entire process and was so so helpful in taking great care of everything. I can not say enough about Austin Natural Funerals. More specifically, I worked with Mitzi and mostly Campbell. Both were incredibly personable, took care of any and ALL needs that arose, made us feel like we were the only people they were helping, answered all 3 million of our questions and never made us feel like they were too many, made this huge life transforming event seamless so we could focus on grieving and not the small task that needed to be done, and most importantly, their sincere and loving energy made you feel like you have known them for years and they were taking care of one of their own loved ones. Our experience could not have been better. Nobody wants to need the services of a funeral home, and it's something we didn't think about or plan for. We learned of Austin Natural Funerals through friends and could not have been more pleased with the service that we received. Our call was answered immediately, they took immediate action to assist us with the difficult logistics of caring for our loved one, and their guidance in selecting and arranging a funeral that was a good fit and affordable was invaluable. Compassionate, caring, knowledgeable and honest are the words that come to mind.

I'm not able to adequately say how much I valued the service delivered by Austin Natural funerals. Compared to other funeral service providers I researched during an admittedly trying and emotional time, locally-owned Austin Natural not only was more cost effective and efficient, but also was more importantly full of grace. There was no pressured sales pitch or upselling of services - rather, there was authentic caring, listening, patience, and sincere effort to deliver exactly what we were looking for in the time required, all the while keeping us informed as to its status. Very highly recommended.

My husband's illness came on quickly - and took him just as quickly. In times of grief, few, if any, have the emotional energy or mental capacity to plan a funeral. I selected Austin Natural Funerals to handle his arrangements mainly because of proximity to our home. Essentially, I called upon strangers to manage his death and had no choice but to trust. And earn my trust they did. From the team who transported his body to the office staff to Campbell specifically, I cannot offer enough gratitude for their efficiency, integrity, transparency and compassion. I applaud those in the business of death; it takes a special human being to not only plan/manage such an emotional event, but to deal with the equally emotional family. While I do not expect to stay in Austin much longer, I would certainly entrust Austin Natural Funerals to manage my own.

My husband died unexpectedly on a Sunday afternoon and always wanted a natural cremation. I called Austin Natural Funerals and Mitzi arranged to collect him very promptly. We wanted to hold a celebration of his life within a few days since it was almost Christmas and folks had travel plans. They were very efficient and meeting our needs whilst showing real compassion at every moment. I cannot overstate how much I appreciated their help. Spencer was a wonderful support at all times.

Campbell put so much thought into every detail of my sisters viewing and burial. It felt like she knew her and knew exactly what she would have wanted (down to the unicorn baby’s breath flowers). Everything was so beautiful. People can’t stop talking about how beautiful my sisters burial was and how it was like nothing they had ever experienced before. Not everyone that has this job is always this caring and intentional as Campbell was. I am so thankful from the bottom of my heart for Campbell and Austin Natural Funerals.

We happen to find Austin Natural Funerals by chance and I’m so grateful we did. Funeral director Campbell Ringel couldn’t have been more compassionate and helpful. She said she would be there whenever we needed and she truly was. As painful as our loss was, Austin Natural Funerals made the service portion special and wonderful (is that possible with a memorial?) I appreciate them so much.

My boyfriend and I were on vacation in Texas where he passed away in Austin. Not knowing anyone or anything about Austin, I was faced with selecting a funeral home. I believe God directed me toward this business as they were near to my motel. All the staff that I came into contact with were so kind and compassionate to his unfortunate and untimely death. Being alone & so far from home, Ms Ringel helped me through this difficult process from the beginning and on through the time that we were finally home and beyond. I feel so fortunate we were referred to Austin Natural Funerals when my young child passed away unexpectedly – through that terrible time, they handled EVERYTHING with 1 day notice with such compassion, and attention to detail. They treated us, and our boy, like family, and I couldn’t ask for anything more. I was in no position to organize anything in the hours and day after my baby passed, and I feel so incredibly fortunate that they handled everything I wouldn’t have thought of with grace, beauty and an eye towards cherishing him. They hosted a beautiful graveside funeral at Eloise Woods (with online streaming – their idea), and I always had the comforting perspective that they were caring for their own loved one. Working with them since the funeral, they’ve never lost the compassion, and expertly handled all the legal and administrative requirements effortlessly from our side. I’m eternally grateful to Campbell and Mitzi for going so far above and beyond to help our family during a terrible time.

Finding myself in need of services, knowing what my mother's wishes were, I found great relief and care with Austin Natural Funerals. The care and concern I was shown along with the respect for our situation put me at ease at a time when I needed it the most. Campbell was compassionate, organized and supportive as she assured me that "Mom" was safe and sound and I had nothing to worry about. It is not easy burying a loved one, but Mitzi and Campbell guided my family through the process with warmth and empathy. They reconnected us with the rabbi who bar mitzvahed my brother, which made the service all the more meaningful. They organized a simple, beautiful Jewish funeral, and I can't imagine what we would have done without them. We chose to bury dad at Eloise Woods after a suggestion from our Temple's Cantor of Jewish cemeteries. For our family and dad's wishes it is perfect. Mitzi and Campbell from Austin Natural Funerals were wonderful! They held our hands literally and figuratively through the entire process and took care of everything. The service and burial were exactly what dad would have wanted. We are at peace knowing he is being looked after in his own little piece of beautiful wooded earth.

My grandmother passed away at the ripe age of 91, and my father and I had no idea what to do or how to do it. Mitzi was a real professional. Very knowledgable. She spoke with sincerity, helped with compassion, and educated us like an old friend that wanted nothing but the best for grandma. Mitzi Chafetz is an awesome, compassionate, informative, funeral owner and director. I requested and purchased exactly the plot and natural shroud burial in the most peaceful and beautiful wooded burial ground II imagined for myself. Mitzi offered information on a variety of options including any burial ground in the Austin and surrounding areas. She is extremely professional and asks all the necessary questions to assist with pre-planing and pre-purchasing a funeral and a burial site. Whether you prefer a more traditional cemetery burial in any cemetery or a burial in a wooded area, Mitzi will assist you with the best information and compassion.
