Nicolle Marie McNamara

Nicolle Marie McNamara, 42, passed away unexpectedly on August 15, 2026, due to an unforeseen medical condition. Nicolle brought light, generosity, and warmth to everyone she met, and her sudden passing leaves a hole in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Nicolle was born on August 12, 1984, in Duluth, Minnesota, to Joseph Gage McNamara Jr. and Kathy Ann Stewart (née Johnson). Lovingly known as "Coley" to her family since childhood, Nicolle was an only child who was also blessed with foster siblings, two of whom held an especially dear place in her heart: Michelle Letcher and Theresa Letcher. Nicolle graduated from Denfeld High School in 2002. She went on to earn an Associate Degree in 2009 from Mitchell Community College in Boiling Springs, NC, followed by a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Human Services from Gardner-Webb University in 2013. Nicolle married her best friend, Matthew Caton. Though they later divorced, they remained cherished friends. Nicolle built a career working at golf clubs, resorts, and country clubs throughout North Carolina and Texas, most recently working as an Asset Protection Officer at the W Austin Marriott downtown. She loved her job and her coworkers who became like family to her. Always looking ahead, Nicolle was in the process of launching her own company, Middle of a Miracle, LLC - a name and a venture she was so excited about, and one that captured exactly where she was in life: right in the Middle of her own Miracle. Nicolle adored her sweet puppy, Heavenly Grace, and her new Tesla!! She liked to joke, That the car drove better than she did! She happily let it self-drive her to work each morning. In recent years, Nicolle experienced a profound personal awakening, a renewed sense of purpose, gratitude, and presence that touched everyone around her. She faced hardships that would have broken many, yet she emerged from them with grace, strength, and an unshakable love of life. Those who knew her in this season saw a woman fully alive and present with her family, generous with her friends, and radiant with joy. Nicolle was, in every sense, a survivor and a fighter. Fittingly, she had recently visited family in Duluth, cherishing time with the place and people where her story began. Above all, Nicolle was a giver, of her time, her heart, and everything she had. She never missed a chance to be of service to others, she was generous to a fault. She had a rare gift for connecting with anyone, from any walk of life, she made people feel seen and valued. Nicolle was living her best life, full of joy, right up until the end. Nicolle was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Gage McNamara Jr.; her grandparents, Kathleen and Joseph McNamara Sr.; and her grandfather, Richard Rosberg - who, despite his own battle with cancer, traveled to Las Vegas to attend her wedding, a gift of love Nicolle was endlessly proud of and grateful for. Nicolle is survived by her mother, Kathy Ann Stewart, and her father in every way that mattered, Scott Stewart; her brother Jake Stewart (Alesha) and soon to be nephew Weston Stewart; sister Melissa Wueste (Andrew) nephew Trey and niece Sutton; her beloved grandmother, Linda Makela, with whom she shared an especially close and treasured bond; her uncles Brian Rosberg (Lisa), John Darland (Yu-Ping), Terry Scott Rosberg (Terry), and Mark Rosberg, all of whom she loved dearly; and her cousins Destiny, Alyssa, Samantha, Missy, and Jason, along with many other cousins she cherished. Services will be announced and held at a later date.
