Rodney Lynn Millen – born October 31, 1962 – died May 24, 2018 – Son, Brother, Uncle, Husband, Father, Friend Rodney grew up in a rural community in western Pennsylvania. He moved to Hallsville, Texas in 1982; finally making his home in the Austin area in 1983. In high school, Rodney learned the art of woodworking. His skill and attention to detail led him to win a state competition and eventually a fulfilling career at Austin Woodworks where he was employed for 31 years. Rodney’s passion was disc golf. If he wasn’t working or spending time with family, you would find him with his friends on a disc golf course. He made many lifelong friendships while enjoying and mastering his sport. Even though Rodney left Pennsylvania as a young man, he remained an avid Steelers fan to the end. Rodney was a joyful, humble person and lived life to the fullest. Rodney is survived by his wife, Kathie Millen, sons Dusty Weeks and wife Jenny, Jimmy Allgood and wife Lauren, mother Mary Ann Coleman, step-mother Ellen Millen, sister Bobbie Scumaci and husband Fred, sister Michelle Johnson and husband Russell, brother Greg Millen and wife Nancy, brother Wade Millen, brother Jacob Millen, three grandchildren – Carly, Dillon, and Colin and nephews and nieces – Ricky and Julie Morris, Levi and Jonah Millen, Lauren Hughes, Tricia and Marissa Scumaci. Rodney was preceded in death by his father Ronald Millen. Private burial. Memorial service at Hill Country Bible Church, 12124 Ranch Road 620 N, Austin, TX 78750 on May 30, 2018 at 10:00 AM.
