Dale Douglas Webster
February 5, 1945 - September 28, 2019
Dale Douglas Webster breathed his last breath on Saturday morning, September 29th, while in the loving embraces of his wife and only child. Though Parkinson’s disease took its toll over the last eight years, those close to him remember him more this way – full of life, joy, energy and love. A 20 year veteran officer of the US Air Force, the first in his family to attend college, a university professor and an early computer science professional, he had a brilliant mind that was balanced by ever present humor and an abundantly large heart. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kathleen; his son, Doug; his daughter in law, Anne; his three grandchildren, Cole, Ian and Tayte, of whom he was very proud; and countless friends around the globe who are providing a community of support for the family. A funeral service in his honor will be held at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church, 8134 Mesa Drive, in Austin, Texas at 2pm October 3, 2019. All are welcome to attend to celebrate a wonderful man, a truly kind soul, and a life well-lived.
