Renee Sochiquetzal De La Fuente

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Renee Sochiquetzal De La Fuente, of Kyle Texas, on March 1, 2025. Renee was a daughter, sister, wife, and most importantly loving mom. She was an avid cyclist, creative wedding planner and tenacious reader. Renee was a passionate public health advocate, devoting her professional life to the well-being of those lacking access to health care. Renee's greatest joy in life was being a mom to Megan and Diego. She always put them first, her love for them was boundless. Renee was their biggest cheerleader, their rock, and they will carry her love with them always. As a proud graduate of St. Edward's University in Austin Texas, Renee instilled the importance of an education in Megan and Diego. Her legacy will live through them, forever. As an advocate for public health and her community, Renee worked tirelessly to make the world a better place. Renee was also a proud cyclist, competing in the Hill Country Ride for AIDS last April-an accomplishment she was especially proud of. Renee's creativity was best on display as a wedding planner, where she helped couples create unforgettable moments. Renee also loved raising chickens, finding peace and joy in caring for her flock. Above all Renee was a thoughtful, generous friend, who was always ready to support others. Her warmth, kindness and unwavering support will be deeply missed, but never forgotten. Renee was preceded in death by her mother, Guadalupe Cantu. She is survived by Juan Cantu, Orlando De La Fuente, Rachelle Castillo and her son Ryder, her children Megan Medrano and Diego De La Fuente. Her legacy and strength will live on. Renee may no longer be with us, but she will always be loved, and will never be forgotten. Services will be held at Eloise Woods Natural Burial Park, in Cedar Creek Texas, on Sunday March 9th at 11 am. Eloise Woods Natural Burial Park. The terrain at Eloise Woods can be quite rocky so comfortable footwear is recommended, additionally, there are no restrooms at the park.
